Hello and Welcome
You can find my author page at Benign Chaos. While most of my creative energy is devoted to weaving the magic of Starfall Rest, Benign Chaos remains a cozy corner where you can find my meandering thoughts that are not related to this world. It is, however, updated infrequently. My love, my passion, and, most importantly, my time belong to Starfall Rest at the present.
Hello. My name is Angel, aka Benign Chaos.
Everyone has a first love. For my husband, it was when he was nine years old, watching Condorman, and saw a Porsche 911 for the first time. For me, that love began when I borrowed Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey from my middle school library and was introduced to the world of fantasy. Like my husband’s love for the Porsche, it was love at first sight, and one that would last a lifetime.
Then, one sultry Texas summer night in 1982, just before I entered high school, my best friend introduced me to Harlequin romances. Thin books, quick reads—you could finish one in three hours. I devoured them one after another, and that summer belonged to the passion and heartache found in those deliciously trashy 80s romance novels.
In time, I married my two great loves: fantasy and romance. Separate, they were enchanting, but together, they made my heart sing. I wrote for my own delight through the 90s. Then, as the new millennium dawned, life shifted. I fell in love, started a family, and my writing took a back seat. Now, with my children grown and heading off to college, I’m returning to that undying love, the one that lives in my heart and dances across my fingertips as I write the love stories of dragons and aethereals, vampyres and witches.
Welcome to my corner of the web. I hope you find delight and magic here.
