Grimswell Crossroads lies just south of the fertile Norshire Farmlands, whose produce supplies the surrounding regions. Four major roads intersect at the town:

  • the eastern road to Darkenfell and the Wildenwood
  • the western road to the Open Plains of Tittlymoore and the Horngate
  • the southwestern road to the Stygian Reach past Willowhaven Deep
  • the northern road toward the Stormhorn Mountains past the Norshire Farmlands

Because of this intersection, the town has long served as a convenient stopping point for travelers moving between the interior regions of Starfall Rest.
