High amidst the snow-crowned peaks of the Stormhorn Mountains lies the Aerie—a sanctuary of living stone and celestial light. Here dwell the Aethereals, ethereal beings who weave threads of starlight and sunfire into magic both gentle and fierce. Guardians of harmony, the Aethereals are both warriors and mystics, their luminous presence as inspiring as it is formidable.

Rising from the rugged peaks of the Stormhorn Mountains, the Dragons of Ebonhorn are guardians of ancient secrets and keepers of tradition. Bound by a strict class system forged in the fires of civil war, they are majestic and mighty, their presence as formidable as the mountains they call home.

Rising like a pale crescent above the storm-lashed cliffs of the Horngate, the Moon Citadel is a sanctuary for witches and a beacon of devotion to the Moon Goddess. Within its alabaster walls dwell the Sisters Ardent, wielders of ancient magic and caretakers of sacred knowledge. Among them walk the Luminous Choir, also known as the Witch Queens, priestesses chosen by the Goddess herself—witches born with hair as luminous as moonlight, their power matched only by their bond with the divine. To defy the Citadel is to defy the Goddess’s light itself, yet from within their own ranks, rebellion once took root—a wildfire born of discord, now whispered of in the shadows as the Wyrdkin.

Tucked away in the maze-like alleys of Darkenfell lies the Thieves’ Guild, a haven for misfits, waywards, and the wonderfully unconventional. Masters of stealth with hearts of gold (or at least bronze), the Guild is a chosen family, united by loyalty, laughter, and the occasional ‘perfectly legal’ heist.

The Wyrdkin are the enigmatic guardians of Starfall Rest’s forests, practitioners of a unique form of magic that embraces balance and the eternal interplay of opposites. Scattered across the realm, they are bound by a shared philosophy and a deep reverence for nature. Each clan of Wyrdkin, from Clan Faedarke O’Wyrdkin to Clan Sylvereach O’Wyrdkin, carries its own traditions, shaped by the land they call home.
Explore the diverse communities of Starfall Rest, from the mystical Wyrdkin clans to the noble Vampyre houses.

Nestled deep within the Faedarke, at the foot of the Whispering Peaks where the Whispersong cascades in a silver waterfall, Clan Faedarke O’Wyrdkin thrives as the heart of Wyrdkin tradition. These witches embody balance: light and shadow, chaos and order, the eternal spiral that guides the natural world. Their sanctuary, Whisperun, is both a village and a living extension of the forest itself, where spiral magic flows through every branch, root, and river.
Meet the extraordinary individuals who shape the realm.

From the bustling streets of Stormhearth, through the grueling training of the Battle Mages in the Horngate, to the mist-shrouded heights of the Stormhead Lighthouse, Hannah Farrowlight’s journey was one of determination and an unshakable love for the Shrouded Isle. Through tireless dedication and hard work, she became the youngest Keeper in history, turning her childhood dream into a legacy that would inspire generations.

In the shadowed boughs of the Faedarke, Kaelith Verdane stands as both guardian and guide, her bond with nature as unyielding as the roots of the ancient willows.

The Keeper of the Stormhead Lighthouse is a highly esteemed role on the Shrouded Isle, entrusted to a select member of the Sworn Guards. This position combines practical duties, ceremonial traditions, and a deep connection to the history and magic of the Stormhead Lighthouse.
Explore the landmarks steeped in magic and lore.

Located on the Shrouded Isle, the Arcane Conservatory is the largest and most prestigious library in Starfall Rest. This sprawling sanctuary of knowledge, open to all who seek it, is maintained by the Luminal Librarians, overseen by the kind yet firm guidance of Lorewarden Sylwen Faerondil.
Step into the heart of Starfall Rest’s cultures, where rituals, ceremonies, and festivities weave together the tapestry of its diverse peoples.

Heartspring is a cherished holiday in Starfall Rest that occurs on the Ides of February while snow still drifts across the land. It is a day dedicated to love in all its forms: romantic, familial, platonic, and even the love one holds for oneself. Families, lovers, and friends adorn their homes with red and pink decorations, often dressing in the same hues, weaving warmth, joy, and love into the last breath of winter.

Every autumn, when the veil between worlds grows thin, the Wyrdkin of Starfall Rest gather at the Barrowold, a vast and ancient graveyard nestled in the northern Wildenwood, near the foothills of the Stormhorn Mountains. This sacred event, known as the Wyrdmeet, is a weeklong celebration blending solemn rituals, joyous revelry, and deep tradition. For the Wyrdkin, it is more than a gathering—it is a reaffirmation of their unity, purpose, and bond.
Discover the living magic of Starfall Rest’s flora and fauna, both wondrous and wild.

Mysterious, mystical, and fiercely independent, magical cats are a rare and enchanting presence in Starfall Rest. Though they walk among ordinary felines, their unique traits and deep ties to the realm’s magic set them apart. Revered for their intelligence, charm, and mischief, these creatures are not only loyal companions but also enigmatic Keepers of the Mystery. Whispers say they hold secrets of the arcane, their glowing eyes glimpsing truths that mortals have yet to unravel.

Deep within the Faedarke stand the Elderhollow, ancient trees whose gnarled faces watch and whisper. With glowing eyes like smoldering embers, they are as eerie as they are enigmatic, protectors of the forest’s secrets and guardians of its harmony. Few who encounter them leave unchanged—or unscathed.

Scattered across Starfall Rest, the world trees stand as sentient caretakers of the forests. Vast and ancient, these trees are more than mere plants; they are stewards of balance, harmony, and life. Through their far-reaching roots, they communicate with the forest, nurturing its growth, healing its wounds, and influencing the delicate interplay of nature’s elements. Their wisdom spans centuries, and their presence soothes the magical energies, making them sacred to both nature and magic users alike.
Delve into the arcane forces and fabled artifacts that shape the destiny of Starfall Rest.

Forged from life itself, a Living Staff is no ordinary tool—it is a living, breathing extension of nature’s magic.

Hidden deep in the Underground Archives of the Arcane Conservatory, guarded by dust and time, lies an invocation said to open a portal between worlds.

A Note from Sylwen the Lorewarden, Head Librarian of the Arcane Conservatory:
Welcome, dear seeker of knowledge. While we strive for perfection in maintaining these archives, the magical glyphs within these pages can be mischievous, rearranging themselves at the most inconvenient times. And let us not forget the daemon imps who dwell in the Underground Archives, mischievous little scamps who find endless delight in turning order into chaos.
Should you encounter an error or notice something amiss, I invite you to leave a note at the entry desk. Our devoted archivists (and my ever-thinning patience) will be most grateful for your help in keeping the Codex Arcana as accurate as possible.
May your search for truth be fruitful, and perhaps even spark a little wonder along the way.
Yours in wisdom,
Sylwen Faerondil
Lorewarden of the Arcane Conservatory
