The Arcane Halls of the Mages’ Order

The Arcane Halls are the primary seat of the Mages’ Order, located within the towering High Spire District of the Horngate. Part magical university, part research institute, and part governing guild of arcane practitioners, the Arcane Halls stand among the most influential institutions in all of Starfall Rest.

The Mages’ Order

The Mages’ Order is one of the oldest scholarly institutions in Starfall Rest, dedicated to the study, practice, and responsible application of arcane magic. Headquartered in the Arcane Halls of the Horngate, the Order serves as a professional society of spellcasters, researchers, and magical investigators whose work ranges from academic study to field operations across the realm.

The Evernight Emporium

The Evernight Emporium is a macabre marketplace that appears only on the night of the full moon. It is reached through an arcane Door that manifests in the hidden back alleys of both Darkenfell and the Horngate.

Grimswell Crossroads

Grimswell Crossroads is a bustling market town located near the center of the continent of Starfall Rest. The settlement grew around the intersection of several major trade roads, making it a natural gathering place for travelers, merchants, and messengers moving between distant regions.

Despite its modest size, the Crossroads is rarely quiet. Caravans, riders, and wandering adventurers pass through daily, bringing with them news, goods, and stories from across the continent.

The Mayor’s Hat

The Mayor’s Hat is a curious magical object frequently referenced in stories from Grimswell Crossroads, though its true nature is not widely understood. The hat appears to possess unusual properties that influence the behavior of those who wear it, leading many locals to speculate about its origins.

The Horse & Wheel

The Horse & Wheel Tavern stands at the heart of Grimswell Crossroads, where three major roads meet near the fertile farmlands of Norshire. Because of its location, the tavern attracts a constant stream of travelers from across Starfall Rest: merchants, adventurers, guild agents, wandering knights, mages, nobles, and the occasional visitor whose business is best left unasked.

The Invocation

Hidden deep in the Underground Archives of the Arcane Conservatory, guarded by dust and time, lies an invocation said to open a portal between worlds.

Heartspring

Heartspring is a cherished holiday in Starfall Rest that occurs on the Ides of February while snow still drifts across the land. It is a day dedicated to love in all its forms: romantic, familial, platonic, and even the love one holds for oneself. Families, lovers, and friends adorn their homes with red and pink decorations, often dressing in the same hues, weaving warmth, joy, and love into the last breath of winter.

Magical Cats

Mysterious, mystical, and fiercely independent, magical cats are a rare and enchanting presence in Starfall Rest. Though they walk among ordinary felines, their unique traits and deep ties to the realm’s magic set them apart. Revered for their intelligence, charm, and mischief, these creatures are not only loyal companions but also enigmatic Keepers of the Mystery. Whispers say they hold secrets of the arcane, their glowing eyes glimpsing truths that mortals have yet to unravel.

The Wyrdmeet at Barrowold

Every autumn, when the veil between worlds grows thin, the Wyrdkin of Starfall Rest gather at the Barrowold, a vast and ancient graveyard nestled in the northern Wildenwood, near the foothills of the Stormhorn Mountains. This sacred event, known as the Wyrdmeet, is a weeklong celebration blending solemn rituals, joyous revelry, and deep tradition. For the Wyrdkin, it is more than a gathering—it is a reaffirmation of their unity, purpose, and bond.
